Let's Build A Stronger Future For Plymouth
Plymouth is projected to add 10,000 more people in the next 10 years.
Think about what that means: more housing, more infrastructure, more services, more costs. We need a clear, proactive plan to handle that growth so the future doesn’t catch us by surprise – a plan that values our Town’s unique character and our environment as much as it does new commercial development. If we don’t take this seriously right now, our quality of life is at risk.

I’m running because I DO take this seriously. I’m experienced, qualified and ready to work with you to create a stronger, more vibrant future for Plymouth.

Meet Deb
The job of a Select Board member is to lead and make decisions in the best interests of the people who are counting on you. I’ve been doing both for more than 30 years, as a business person, a teacher and a mom. Here’s what I bring to the Town of Plymouth.
Strategy & Business Expertise

I started my career as a financial reporter, dabbled in advertising, and made my way to a top-tier consulting firm where I settled in for more than 25 years. I was in the communications and change management practice where I worked with organizations going through significant transitions like mergers, layoffs, big changes in pay or benefits program. My role was to represent the employees' interests in the process. I became a partner in the firm, responsible for managing multi-million dollar budgets and my practice area.

Commitment to Education

When my own firm was acquired, I jumped at the chance to launch a second career. I went back to school and became a public school teacher. I taught English as a Second Language (ESL) for several years in Plymouth and Hanover. Now I'm a reading teacher at Kingston Elementary School, helping a diverse group of kids prepare for the future.

Community Focus

Since my husband Greg and I moved to Plymouth about 15 years ago, I have been passionately involved in the community. I tutored in the Library’s Literacy Program and am an active member of the Open Space Committee, Sustainable Plymouth and the League of Women Voters, working on initiatives aimed at improving Plymouth’s environmental and civic health.

…And a Personal Life, too!

We love to explore Plymouth and take full advantage of all that it has to offer, from the beaches and trails to the restaurants and arts scene. We have four amazing kids scattered across the country. They have come to love Plymouth as much as we do and consider it home.

The Bottom Line

My background and experience has equipped me with the leadership, communication and problem-solving skills needed to analyze the issues important to Plymouth, develop actionable plans, and work collaboratively with diverse groups to get things done. I’m ready to bring a fresh perspective and a new approach to the Plymouth Select Board.
